Our Jim takes on the dancefloor to help families affected by cancer.

As you may know, Cowal Building has been supporting the amazing charity Calum’s Cabin for quite a few years now. Our brilliant customers and suppliers have always helped us during our fundraisers too, and we hope you can do it again.

This year we’re delighted that one of our team members, Jim MacDonald, is taking part in a fantastic charity event this month: Calum’s Cabin Does Strictly Come Dancing!

The event takes place on 29th August 2026 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Glasgow, where a host of amateur and professional dancing couples will go head-to-head to win the competition, all while raising money in support of Calum’s Cabin. This wonderful charity provides vital assistance to families with children who are facing cancer and other serious illnesses. We’re proud to support them whenever we can so they can keep going with their work.

Let’s help Jim tango past his target!

Over the past few weeks, Jim has been dedicating a large amount of his time and effort into learning his cha-cha-cha from his foxtrot, his salsa from his rumba and his paso doble from his quickstep!
